A CHADWELL ST Mary man is set to stand trial over an allegation that he threatened a police officer with a knife on Grays High Street.
Michael Adeniji, aged 26 of Ingleby Road, Chadwell St Mary has been charged with the following.
On 28/11/2017 at High Street, Grays, had with you an article, namely knife, to which section 139AA of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 applied in a public place, namely George Street Grays, and unlawfully and intentionally threatened another person, a police officer, with that article in such a way that there was an immediate risk of serious physical harm to that person.
On 28/11/2017 at George Street, Grays used or threatened unlawful violence towards other persons and your conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.
Adenji’s next appearance will be on April 26th at Basildon Crown Court.
He is on unconditional bail.
