A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man in South Ockendon.
Police received reports that a man had suffered serious knife injuries at a property in Eden Green at around 1pm on Monday, August 21.
The victim, Daniel Adger, 34, from South Ockendon, was taken to hospital but sadly died upon arrival.
Lee Dowman, 50, of Lytton Road, Chadwell St Mary, has been charged with murder.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 28.
A 42 year-old man from Tilbury, who had been arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on bail until September 21.
A 31 year-old woman from South Ockendon, who had also been arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.
