THERE has been a second arrest in connection with the murder of John Hicks, 65, in Grays.
A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder earlier this morning, Thursday, July 5.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested yesterday evening.
Both currently remain in custody.
The victim has provisionally been identified as local man John Hicks, and a forensic post mortem examination is due to take place later today.
Mr Hicks was found in London Road in the early hours of July 3. Having suffered a head injury, he was taken to hospital, where he sadly died on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 4.
Detectives continue to appeal for anyone with information about Mr Hicks’ movements in the days before his death.
