ESSEX Police is appealing for information following an incident in Tilbury where a man was shot in the leg by someone in a car.
It happened in St Chads Road at around 10.30pm on Saturday, March 24.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Detective Inspector Phil Moulsher said: “I appreciate this will be a concerning incident for people living in the area but we believe this was a targeted and isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider public.
“We also do not believe it is linked to any other incidents that have taken place within the Thurrock district over the last few weeks.
“If you witnessed the incident, were driving in the area at the time and have dash cam footage, or have any other information I need you to come forward.”
