Man arrested in connection with incident at Grays launderette

A man has been arrested today (Thursday, March 8) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary in connection with an incident at a launderette in Grays.

The 31-year-old man from Watford was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and remains in custody for questioning.

His arrest follows an incident at Baylee’s laundrette in Southend Road, Grays, on Monday December 4, during which Paul Robertson, 39, of Milton Keynes, died from multiple injuries.

We previously charged Jerome Johnson, 36, Harrison Fryer, 24, and Joseph Pearl, 28, all of Charter Place, Watford, and Michael Williams, 35, of Old Farm Park, Milton Keynes, with aggravated burglary.
Johnson and Fryer are due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Friday, March 16, and Pearl and Williams are due to stand trial on Monday, June 4.

A 39-year-old man from Grays arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.
