Police release name of man who died at Grays laundrette

ESSEX Police are now in a position to identify a man who died following an incident at a laundrette.

Officers were contacted with reports of up to five people armed with weapons entered Baylee’s in Southend Road, Grays, at around 10pm on Monday, December 4.

During the incident, one of the men suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene.

He has now been identified as Paul Robertson, 39, of Milton Keynes. A post mortem examination was held on Wednesday, December 6, which found he died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries.

Officers have today (Friday, December 8) arrested a 35-year-old man from Milton Keynes on suspicion of aggravated burglary. He remains in custody for questioning.

A 39-year-old man from Grays was arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail until Thursday, December 28, pending further enquiries.

A 28-year-old man from Watford who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary has been released on bail until December 29, pending further enquiries.
