ESSEX Police have launched a murder investigation after discovering a man’s body in a launderette in Grays.
Officers were called a property in Southend Road at around 10pm yesterday (Monday, December 4) and found the man dead with multiple injuries at the scene.
Police arrested a 39-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing.

YT has received reports that the police have closed Southend Road in Grays.
A number of residents have referred to activity near to the Laundrette.
Reports started to come in after 11pm on Monday evening.
The police helicopter has also been hovering over the area.
Essex Police has been contacted.
