ESSEX Police are appealing for information about an aggravated burglary in Orsett Heath yesterday (Monday, November 20).
Two men have smashed a back door window and gained entry to a property off Heath Road at around 8pm.
They have threatened the occupant with a screwdriver, crowbar and knife and then left with jewellery, men’s watches, a phone and a four-figure sum of cash.
The men left through the front door where a third suspect was seen before they drove off.
The victim suffered a minor injury to his hand during the incident but did not require hospital treatment.
The suspects have been described as being black, around 5ft 10ins, of a medium build and wearing hoodies.
Investigating officer Dc Mark Cotgrove, of Grays CID, said: “We are treating this as a targeted incident with suspects forcing their way through the property and threatening the occupant before carrying out a search of the building.
“They have left with expensive watches and jewellery and a large amount of cash. The victim escaped with a minor hand injury and has been left shaken by the ordeal.
“I would urge anyone with information to call Grays CID on 101 quoting incident 952 of 20/11 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
