A MAN from Grays has been jailed for a number of historic sex offences against children.
Ronald Marcus, 71, of Stifford Clays Road, Grays, was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Wednesday January 18th.
Marcus received a five year sentence in relation to six charges against children under the age of 14.
The offences took place between 1986 and 1994.
The six charges were broke down as follows:
1. Indecent assault on female: Two years imprisonment.
2. Indecent assault on female: Five years imprisonment
3. Indecent assault on female: Two years imprisonment.
4. Indecent assault on female: Two years imprisonment.
5. Indecent assault on female: Two years imprisonment.
6. Indecent assault on female: Three years imprisonment.
The sentence structure means that they all run concurrent.
Marcus has been required to sign the sex offenders register for an indefinite period.
