
ESSEX Police is appealing for any witnesses to a fatal collision at junction 30 of the M25.
A spokesperson said: “We were called at about 11.40pm on Sunday 14 April with reports of a collision involving a car and motorcycle at the Mardyke Junction.
Paramedics were called to the scene but sadly, despite their best efforts, the motorcyclist died at the scene.
Part of the roundabout was closed for several hours while emergency services worked at the scene and was reopened about 10.30am this morning, Monday 15 April.
Prior to this collision, the car was involved in a pursuit involving Kent Police. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is independently investigating the circumstances surrounding the police pursuit, following a mandatory referral by Kent Police to the IOPC.
