DETECTIVES are appealing for information following a robbery in South Ockendon that occurred about 11.30pm on Friday, April 18, which left the victim with a fractured eye socket.
Following a night out, the 27-year-old man was dropped off by a taxi in Danbury Cresent, South Ockendon and saw a man and woman in this street. The man asked the victim, who was intoxicated, if he was ok as he was unsteady on his feet. As he walked along Daiglen Drive he was assaulted from behind, causing him to fall to the ground. His wallet, containing cash and cards was then stolen. A passing female motorist stopped and called an ambulance for the victim, who suffered numerous cuts and swelling to his face and a fractured eye socket.
The male suspect is described as white, 5ft 6″ to 5ft 7″ skinny build, short dark hair with a skinny face, dark eyes and eyebrows. He was wearing dark clothing and spoke with an Essex accent.
The woman was described as white, with long brown hair and wearing smart clothing.
