ESSEX Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in Orsett.
The victim, a man in his 20s, believes he was the victim of a targeted attack whilst walking along Orsett Road at around 12pm on Tuesday 26 January.
He was initially shouted at by two men in a white vehicle, believed to be a truck or a van.
The men then exited the vehicle and proceeded to assault him with weapons.
The men have been described as white and had tattoos. It is believed that one man was in his 20s, had a beard and brown hair. The second man was in his 30s with black hair.
The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
