ESSEX Police are investigating an assault on a man in St John’s Way, Corringham, and are looking to speak to witnesses who have yet to come forward.

The 42-year-old was attacked near Selekt Chicken by a group of people at 8.20pm on Friday 14 August. He suffered a fractured nose and a spinal injury and is recovering at home. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The suspects, described as a group of teenagers, are believed to have left the scene in a silver car.
Officers have been progressing their investigation, including speaking to residents and witnesses, reviewing CCTV and carrying out forensic examinations of the scene.
