TEAM work between Thurrock Council’s environmental enforcement team and Essex Police has led to the discovery of a suspected cannabis cultivation site.
On Friday, 6 December, a member of the council’s enforcement team was investigating a suspected fly-tipping incident near the car wash in Princes Margaret Road, East Tilbury, when he noticed suspicious activity. After calling Essex Police, their officers conducted a search and found a number of plants believed to be cannabis.
Four people have been arrested on suspicion of production of a controlled drug and have been bailed pending further investigation.
To report a crime, call Essex Police on 999 in an emergency, or 101. Residents can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
