ESSEX Police is appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Grays.
It was reported man in his 30s was stopped by a group of men on his moped outside The Oak in Lodge Lane at around 7.15pm on 21 November.
The man was assaulted and the group attempted to steal his moped.
A passing van flashed its headlights causing the group to make off.
Three 18 year-old men from Grays have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and subsequently released on bail until 15 December.
They are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward, in particular the driver of the van which flashed its headlights.
