ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses who saw a man being assaulted in Grays.
The 40-year-old victim was punched and needed surgery for a broken jaw.
The incident happened shortly after 12.30am on Saturday 12 October on the forecourt of the Esso petrol station on the A1013 Stanford Road, Grays.
We have spoken to a number of witnesses but are looking to speak to anyone else who was in the area at the time who saw what happened.
The suspect was described as a man with blond hair, who was driving a black Ford Focus.
