FIVE teenagers have been arrested in connection with an assault on a man in Grays.
The 41-year-old man had confronted a group of suspects who had are alleged to have broken into a van in London Road on Sunday 12 May.
Two 19-year-old men from Grays and an 18-year-old man from West Thurrock were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, theft from a vehicle and criminal damage. They have been released under investigation.
A 13-year-old boy from Grays was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, theft from a vehicle and criminal damage. He was released on bail until Wednesday 14 August.
A 15-year-old boy from Grays was arrested on suspicion of theft from a vehicle and criminal damage. He was released under investigation.
