A NIGERIAN man residing in Purfleet is set to stand trial over allegations that he defrauded Thurrock Council.
Rasheed Ayotude Ayoola, aged 54, of Chieftan Drive,, Purfleet has been charged with the following.
Between 23/08/2010 and 31/03/2013 at Purfleet, dishonestly failed to promptly notify a local authority, namely Thurrock Borough Council in the prescribed manner of a change of circumstances which you knew would affect your entitlement to Council Tax Benefit, namely that you were in receipt of undeclared payments.
Between 23/08/2010 and 05/03/2017 at Purfleet, dishonestly failed to promptly notify a local authority, namely Thurrock Borough Council in the prescribed manner of a change of circumstances which you knew would affect your entitlement to Housing Benefit , namely that you were in receipt of undeclared payments..
A trial date of July 11th at Basildon magistrates court has been set.
Ayoola pleads not guilty.
