A HORNDON-ON-THE-HILL company is in court over a number of alleged health and safety breaches.
CH Cole and Sons, of Wyfields Farm, Blackbush Lane, Horndon on the Hill has been charged with the following.
On 24/10/2017 at West Tilbury, being an employer, failed to ensure, so far as was reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work of all your employees in that namely the risk of serious injury or death resulting from becoming entrapped in the roller system of the Tong Caretaker potato grading machine.
On 24/10/2017 at West Tilbury, being an employer, failed to conduct your undertaking in such a way to ensure, so far as was reasonably practicable, that persons not in your employment who may have been affected thereby, were not exposed to risks to their health and safety.
The case has been adjourned.
